Earthcare Concentrated Liquid Compost provides a simple cost effective method to simultaneously enhance the chemical, structural and biological nature of soils. The complex organic formulation is humic based and fortified with naturally occurring growth activators, amino acids, chelating agents, nitrogen, potassium and organic carbons. It is not a fertiliser but a highly concentrated liquid soil conditioner, which effectively contains compost in its purest form. The humic and fulvic acid in CLC is derived from brown coal, extracted from ancient deposits of decomposed plant life, and other natural sources unique to south-eastern Australia. It is practically identical in terms of chemical and physical properties to the humic acids in soils. Extensive scientific research and field trials have shown CLC has immediate, as well as longer term beneficial effects on soils even when applied just twice a year.

Concentrated Liquid Compost - Benefits in Brief

  • CLC stimulates and enhances the chemical reactions which render nutrients (whether pre-existing in the soil or from applied fertilisers) available and ready for plant uptake. Cation exchange capacity is increased, therefore the availability of previous “locked-up’ nutrients is enhanced. This results in cost savings due to longer intervals between fertiliser applications, or reduced input of nutrients.
  • CLC provides a stimulus to the root system.
  • CLC reduces the tendency for the soil pH to change dramatically when fertilisers and other materials are applied.
  • CLC breaks down ploughed-under crop residues.
  • CLC improves the penetration of lime.
  • CLC improves the friability of a clay soil structure. This favorable friabile soil structure promotes, air, water, root penetration and the proliferation of soil organisms.
  • CLC reduces leaching of water and nutrients from a sandy soil and increases the ability for these soils to retain moisture.
  • CLC stimulates microbial activity in the soil which results in enhanced release and efficient recycling of nutrients, increased rate of decomposition of organic matter and a reduction in the incidence of soil borne disease.
